Bon Jovi is an American rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. It consists of singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald. The band has released 14 studio albums, five compilations, and three live albums. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling American rock bands ever. Bon Jovi has also performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for over 34 million fans.


Slippery When Wet is the third studio album from Bon Jovi. It was released in August 1986 and was an instant commercial success. The album features songs that are considered Bon Jovi’s best known, including “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.” The album spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, was named by Billboard as the top-selling album of 1987, and has gone 12x Platinum.
